Don Quixote, the quirky traveller, always resonated with me.
I have always loved travelling and meeting new people. I was inspired by Picasso’s famous sketch of this notorious character, and this glass sculpture was my first.
The original is now on a cork base, brought from Quixote’s region of Spain. Travelling behind a cork oak harvesting pick-up, several pieces fell off in front of us. I rescued a piece. It’s the perfect counterpoint to the glass.
